Brooklyn Winery

Some wedding days happen in one room. This one covered a good stretch of Williamsburg.

The morning started at the William Vale, where the two of them got ready with the Manhattan skyline filling the hotel windows. After a few last bow tie adjustments and a quiet minute at the mirror, we found a long, dim hallway for their first look. The silhouette from that moment is still one of my favorite frames from the day.

It was far too nice out to spend the afternoon in a car, so we walked to Brooklyn Winery instead. That walk gave us some of the most relaxed photos of the whole wedding: strolling down tree-lined blocks, stopping in front of a wall of bright street art, and stealing a few minutes alone before the day got loud.

Brooklyn Winery suited them perfectly. Exposed brick, walls of ivy, wine barrels topped with white flowers, and long wooden tables lit by candles. They set out a table of framed wedding photos from their parents and grandparents, a sweet nod to the marriages that came before theirs. Once dinner wrapped, the live band took over and the dance floor stayed full until the last song.
